While driving down a busy street, in May of 2016, a kind-hearted responsible man came upon a young fawn curled up right in the middle of the divided roadway.  The fawn was alive but frozen in place.  The driver exited the vehicle and carefully picked up the fawn and placed it at the edge of a wooded area adjacent to the road so that if it’s mom came back from foraging she could locate her baby.  About 6 hours later the concerned citizen returned and the fawn was still in the same location as he had left it. NFFAR received the call for help.  The forlorn fawn was evaluated and transported to our wonderful wildlife rehabilitator.  Two weeks later I visited the thriving baby and bottle fed her!
